Impact

Initially built in 1964, the brick plant at 14 Tennant Street, Fyshwick was refurbished in 2019 by Hi-Quality Concrete ACT into a concrete plant which now exceeds the environmental requirements of today’s industry standards.

Water

  • 100% of our water is recycled in the batching process

  • Rainwater is collected from our roof and stored in a 350,000L tank

  • Water is harvested from settling ponds located on site

Transport

  • We run a modern fleet – all trucks are the highly efficient 2019 spec Kenworth T360s fitted with Mixers Australia bowls built using 100% Australian steel

Pollution

  • We are the only fully enclosed concrete plant in Canberra, limiting our environmental impact normally associated with concrete plants such as high pH water washing offsite due to heavy rain fall, dust and noise.

The Hi-Quality Group policy is to achieve a standard of environmental care and responsibility in carrying out its operations that is consistent with regulatory authorities and community expectations.
